I'd be grateful for a bit of warmth on my skin from any country at the moment, frankly! Off to the loire in 85 sleeps, not expecting hot, but a bit of sun would be lovely. hols4me, we went to Koningshof at Whit a number of years ago and both hubby and I got sunburnt on the beach at Katwijk, so don't rule out nice weather. We went to duinrell last Easter and I've got pics of us sitting at the beach cafe in tshirts and sunglasses.
Lucky you exessexmum! We have been to holland about eight times.Even when we go to Amsterdam on a city break it seems to rain.
We still love holland though. Maybe we'll get lucky this year.
Out of interest, did you stay in a static or use your own outfit when you went to dunirell?
We would like to take our FC there, but the pitches that we saw last year looked really run down and tatty. I have heard since though that there are nicer pitches elsewhere on the site, but we must have missed them.
Fancy Beerkse Bergen and koningshof as well. Will have to investigate if it would be worth taking the FC, as we have got some great bargains staying in a static the last few years.
We stayed in a static, Eurocamp cheapy deal -about £300 for the week I think we paid, which includes electricity and ferry and so on, so hard to beat. It was a decent pitch but it was next to the Canvas ones, and they seemed to have a huge load of families that were in a big party and were very noisy at night. The pitches for tourers are on that bit between the plaza and the theme park aren't they? When we were there in April 2012 they looked okay, there weren't many people there. We much prefer Koningshof as it's a bit quieter and less......how can we say...frequented by a certain type, perhaps? But the kids liked it and it was a good value break with the theme park and pool onsite. We'll probably use it as a base and be out and about a bit when we go in October.
