We're off to Etang De La Breche in the Loire. Not been to the Loire since the fateful summer of 2007, when it rained constantly for 2 weeks, but we're going to remain hopeful we might get some sun as it's a lovely place. We're going back to Duinrell at Oct Half Term, can't wait to get back to holland, we love it there!
Ha ha! I remember 2007, tipping down in the Loire , in a tent, with a three month old George. Tell me what L'etang is like coz I'm going in July.

I'm off to France Friday night (10th). Booked on the 0230 ferry from Dover to Calais. I'll be following the coast road through Normandy to Brittany.
I'm booked in to a Keycamp site at Dol-de-Bretagne for four nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'll take my time and spend Saturday and Sunday sightseeing around the coast. I'm not due back at work until 20th so I'll probably take my time getting back. I haven't booked my return ferry yet as I haven't decided when I'm returning, or even from which port.
It's my first time camping in France (or anywhere in EU for that matter). It's also my first trip without a tent.
I have a Peugeot 806 that I've taken the seats out of. Fitted curtains, a mattress, and boxes with all the usual camping stuff. I've tried this out in the UK and all works well, so I'm really looking forward to this trip.
Peter.

We're off to France on the 26th late evening train booked and overnight in Aire La Baie De Somme then on down towards Biscarosse for 12 nights. We may move elsewhere as we haven't booked (the campsite wouldn't accept a booking for Camping Cheques, never had this before) so we're off down that way and will move if we don't like the place, due back in Calais for the crossing back on 9th June! Whoopeee
we're off to Italy staying in a eurocamp mobile. Really looking forward to it. Eventually got round to booking airport parking and car hire last night.

Its NOT warming up yet, raining again in france today
We're heading south tomorrow towards Toulouse for a long weekend just looking for it to be dry with some sun, not expecting any real warmth.
Hope you all have a great time wherever you are going. Interesting that a few people heading for italy.
As much as we are looking forward to holland, i really am determined to head to southern europe for our may holiday next year. It's a Long old winter, and by the time may comes around i am
desperate for some sunshine!
Cant believe that i was lying out in my garden on Tuesday, and today i am cold with
the heating on!!
Hope it warms up for those of you heading to france also.
Had glorious weather a few years ago at the hay festival, so for the
Poster who's heading there, i hope you get lucky too.
Hi all,
I made it to France ok. I spent Saturday night at a really good site close to Omaha Beach. Sunday night I wild camped in a picnik area near Le Mont St Michel. No problems at all camping there. I've just spent my first night at a Keycamp site at Chateau Des Ormes near Dol De Britagne, just over the border in Brittany. Off for a walk around now. I'm booked in to this site until Friday morning. I've just booked my return ferry for 0600 from Dunkirk. I can recommend this site for families, it's got everything for everyone. WiFi on site, 4 days for 20€.
Right, I'm off to do some exploring now. Peter.

9 am ferry to the Hook of Holland on Monday for a week at Koningshof, 4 weeks somewhere in Germany (as yet undecided exactly where) then a week at Duinrell and home by 29th June. I'm not sure if my daughter is more upset at house sitting or having to cook her own meals!!
Catching ferry early hours of the 25th May and then heading down to Camping Chantepie, we booked direct on a early booking special that worked out cheaper than camping cheques! Never been to the Loire before so really looking forward to it
