We did the first year - some pitches can be noisy, but the further you get into the site the less of a problem it is. The other times we were there we didn't notice the noise. Like anywhere I think it depends on which way the wind is blowing - we can hear a bypass which is about three miles away, when the wind is in the wrong direction!
The bathrooms do make some pitches small - but we were given a choice of several pitches with bathrooms, and knew which were the larger ones. The first time we had a private bathroom we couldn't get our awning on the pitch - so we just went out and bought a gazebo from the local hypermarket for 12 euros. Our sons still use it when they go camping!
Have you had a look at Les Sablettes on Camping Street View? Looks to have lots and lots of statics. I must admit it's not a site I've noticed or had a look around!
