Chezzy, We were in 'Argeles Sur Mer' last year, really nice place, weather was superb, beaches are good, good restaurants, the A75 free motorway is superb, especially the bridge at 'Millau', I'm sure you will enjoy it.

So how far down in France to get warmer weather ??
(We travel Monday, plan was Brittany, But it's not exactly beach weather. Vendee looks a few degrees warmer..)
We go in a couple of weeks, I shall decide exactly where by looking at the forecast the day before we leave. This will be our 4th trip to France since July 2013 and I have to say I am fed up with sitting in the MH with a damp dog, listening to the rain on the roof.

We set off 2 weeks today badger54 and although I have umpteen sites in different areas to choose from because of the very changeable weather will not decide on our 1st stopover until the day before we leave, so heres hoping for good weather everywhere in France from 29th August. J xx and good weather for all those of you there at the moment.
Like Julie and Paul, we won't decide - but this time not until we actually pick up the caravan in mid-France. Thereafter we may head north, south, east or west, or even go right down into Spain, and even southern Spain if that's the only place with sunshine.
Weather in Millau is poor. I'm sat with a fleece on it so cold, have been a few heavy storms and floods on site. Weather forecast is hit and miss. Worst weather in 11 years for my trips to France. Better than work though

Hello we have just returned from a week in the ardeche 2 days rain unheard of then onto Spain Costa Brava 1 long sunny week topping 30 degrees a bit of rain a night but nothing to worry about. We stayed in the Loire for 2 nights on the way home very ,mixed and more rain to come my advice head as far south as poss
We have stuck it out but it's been a bit of a struggle at times, it's always rained at night and sometimes in the day too. Temperatures very variable, ranging from 30 early in week to 16 yesterday. I think it's just been an exceptional period.
