I do understand the whys and wherefores of the situation, and I suppose at least it's cheaper than L'Ardechois.

And at that cost I suspect it would be marginally cheaper in the UK.

At least they're providing an option for those (like us) who live a long way from the ferry ports and who need somewhere to stay after our late ferry.

They do have a late arrivals area - so I expect if you are near there you know what to expect.

£35 for the night plus £300 return eurotunnel was much better than £900 hull to Rotterdam and sleeping on a ferry ( my caravan is much comfier) so for us it's just part and parcel of the whole cost to get to our first destination xx

When do you go? Ben Assise takes the ACSI Camping Card which is €18 from 4/4 to 19/6 and 7/9 to 26//9.

I would certainly advise you to stop on a bone fide site in France.

We always catch 3.30 am train and go straight through to Germany with a couple of stops en route for a 30 minute break.
