Upgrade your AA to European Cover. I did this in 2004 (it was £100) and it was the best money ever spent, when my car got a bad fill of fuel which filled up the filter with gunk and because I was a young single Mum driving about France with little lingo I didn't know what to do about it. The car eventually ground to a halt on the very day we were leaving as we were on the way to the ferry terminal. The AA picked up the car, put it on the ferry, collected it the other side and brought me home. It would have cost thousands as I live in Northern Ireland!
Thanks for replies.
