Hi,
Our ATMB tag arrived today & I have the email with the account number & password. Do I need to do anything else to activate it before driving through the appropriate toll booth!
Thanks,
Fiona
Just stick it on the windscreen by the rearview mirror, drive to the tollgate and hope. It generally works
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
You need to get quite close to the barrier before it works - i.e. past the ticket machine. You will usually (although not always!) hear a bleep before the barrier goes up.
------------- Freedom is a light caravan and an open road.
Thanks for the info, we're going in a couple of weeks without the folding camper so there won't be any embarrassed reversing if there's a problem!

When mine arrived it come with a contract to sign which I had to send back with a copy of a utility bill, but I seem to remember last year when there was a group of us on here applying at the same time, some did receive a contract and some didn't, but all worked ok.
Going off on a tangent slightly I tend to use the 30kph lanes, where available and noticed quite a few times trucks behind me suddenly diverting to another lane thinking I've taken the wrong lane, this again is where the smug factor kicks in

Even smugger is going through the "cars only lane" towing a caravan.

Yes, I've had countless smug factor moments since getting a tag, it makes it worth having just for that alone
Hi,
We were sent a number which acted as an electronic signature when I applied which was for the contract. Good to know that's all we need to do, looking forward to feeling smug!
