Our sons stopped coming with us when they were sixteen, but the eldest asked to come again when he was eighteen and had just done A levels - along with five other friends who either came with us or joined us there.
And the youngest was staying on a site in Argeles, last year, and we spent time with him during a couple of his days there, and had a couple of meals out. He joined us in the Ardeche during the second week - at the age of thirty one! He didn't actually stay with us in the caravan but in an AirB&B nearby! His choice, not ours! He took us out for breakfast one morning, and out for a meal for my birthday (One of the advantages of having older 'children' with you - they pay for things too!).
