Delft and Leiden are both worth a visit. Take the train - Dutch railways are excellent. Also worth a look is the 'chocolate box' village of Enkhuizen which has a great open air museum. Dont know if it's still operating, but you could have trips on the Zuider Zee in a Dutch sailing barge.
Cheers Capt great advice
Thanks!

BTW, when are you planning to go? If you are planning to go next April, then "King's day" on 27th. April is not to be missed. Amsterdam especially is just one big street party.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
Over the years we have been and enjoyed trips to Holland.Holland is blessed with plenty of good sites, and a very good railway system.Over the years what we have tended to do is use as a site away from the cities and use the trains to visit cities.Holland also has a pretty good road network, which can get busy at different times during the day but not as busy as the M1 or M25 try south of Rotterdam area that gives you options for a trip to Belgium .Rotterdam ,or Amsterdam all reachable by train have a great trip which ever way you go Arthur
