Thanks minicamper.
I have a look on here every now and then but rarely have anything useful to add.
I've never used any of the other cards, we tend to do most of our camping in the Netherlands and we generally save more than the cost of this card with a 1 week holiday.
I probably should add that we used to get a new credit card sized card from Danish camping every year, I don't know if camping key have changed or if Swedish camping don't supply the card but buying it this year we were required get a phone app and sign in to display the card.
This may be the same as other cards whenever I've booked sites online that have offered the discount they haven't needed to see the card on arrival as they have already checked with camping key if I have a valid card.
I received an e-mail with an attachment that contained the card with all of my details included that could be printed off and used as a physical card like the ACSI card, plus a link to an app.
I downloaded the app, which required the card number to activate it, and it downloads a QR code - the black and white square thing that looks like a jumbled bar code that you get on many products now - on my mobile phone. Presumably to access the discount the campsite scans this to verify your membership when you check in.
As we don’t tend to book sites this suits us and I’ve already identified some good savings at campsites we use or intend to use this year. Just one word of advice. Some of them are also in the ACSI Camping Card scheme and it’s worth checking to see which gives you the best deal.
