Personally, I think if you live in England you should have an England sticker

I completely agree.

It does make sense though considering that N.I. is not part of GB, what sticker did N.I. use in the past?

Now I am confused...I have always thought that Great Britain was the United Kingdom and that Northern Ireland was part of GB/UK...and where does the British Isles fit in? Will I wake up tomorrow and find I have been living in a totally alien country I have never heard of before?

Great Britain refers to the mainland of England, Scotland and Wales. As well as all the smaller islands that form parts of these countries. The UK is a political term that encompasses Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The British Isles is a geographical region that includes Great Britain and the whole island of Ireland. The British Isles include the Republic of Ireland and the Isle of Man, neither of which are part of the UK.

Magnetic stickers is way to go in these changing times I keep a GB in my boot & I’m sure eBay will have magnetic UK as well soon enough.

Not much use on an aluminium caravan or car, like the rear hatch of my Niro. (and bonnet!)

Being a bit pedantic at times, one thing that does wind me up is the whole "Team GB" thing at sporting events, if the team includes athletes from N.Ireland shouldn`t it be "Team UK".

I wonder if its because people from NI can compete either for the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

We have ordered stickers on e Bay which go over the EU blue strips on the number plates. Cheaper than new plates. Our caravan has a GB plate which I will take off
To me it seems a bit of a trivial waste of time, must be more important issues, but a bit of VAT income for the taxman on stickers or replacement plates!

Yep, the Oval U.K. stickers are all over eBay now, with sellers stating that GB stickers will be illegal after September this year.

I recon everyone new what the GB sticker stood for, and I am a little sad to see it go, but I guess it does not really matter in the great scheme of things.

I've been away and had no internet or phone signal for most of the time. Is this for real? Are we no longer allowed to use GB stickers?

This is just a UK/GB thing I think. I don’t think the French give a monkey’s.
