Hi kate, we also stayed there about 10 years ago, we were initially going to stay in a mobile home on the site but it was a bit .... rough. So we stayed in 2 small dome tents we had for overnights instead. Nice site, but the entramce road was a bit uneven iirc.
The entrance road coming from Braize was fine when we went, the road through the forest was more of a track that you wouldn't want to try towing a caravan on. The site owner, Simon Swinn, an English guy who has written a series of very funny books had recently bought it when we went and was planning on improvements but it's such a quiet site in really peaceful surroundings, aside from getting rid of a few old static vans and updating the showers it didn't need too much doing to it.
