And to add, the Ford guy on the phone (after about a 10-15 min delay) also gave me an email address where there should be someone to help me. After half an hour or so I got an email reply. They are "sorry to hear of my concerns and the issues encountered" and suggest I take the car to my nearest Ford dealership as they "would be best equipped to assist you with this matter".
You've gotta laugh, haven't you ?

What car you got?
My 70 plate Ford Galaxy (With the auto adaptive high beam thingy) has a setting in the instrument display for driving on the left or right. ("Right hand traffic" or "Left hand traffic", or similar wording.)
Just tick the box.
Remember to switch it back on your return.

However there is a possibility you will drive through a tunnel and required Lights on.

I don't have that, basic 2017 Ford Focus.

Call the technical department of say Ford, BMW or Hyundai, and ask the question, and they will tell you you don’t need them, AND they will put that in writing for you. I know, the last two new cars I have had do not need them as advised by the manufacture.
Lol, that went well. The guy in Ford had no idea what a beam deflector was and advised me to take it the car to the nearest Ford dealership where they could tell me what work I needed done. But he could tell me where my nearest dealer was so there was that.

Oh dear! Now too helpful.
