Virgin Money looks a good option for quotes in the future. However, to reassure others, the LV policy (bought on line) specifically states that existing conditions are excluded and we are happy with that. We will obviously review at the end of the year.

Depending on the medical condition sometimes the insurance offered by charities that support people with those conditions are a good bet. Sometimes. I had a patient with multiple myeloma who was able to get travel insurance that cost less than his wife's. I didn't ask but assume that anything relating to the myeloma was excluded but for something like a fall/car accident it would still offer the same cover as his wife.

OTOH when I looked through Age concern/the stroke association for insurance for my Mum it was much more expensive.

The people taking the info aren't medically trained so if you ask them whether or not you should declare your HRT they will always say yes because they don't know what's relevant or not. If you add such things to online quotes you'll see that they don't affect the premium.
