Hi Yan,

Have tried without success to find the Pin Parasol entry and your review - can you direct me to it?

Just returned from Pin Parasol after visiting for first time. Site reasonably quiet compared to others we have used but we were out on the far edge, the pitches are huge and its great being near the lakes and the roads are so quiet and ideal for cycling, the coast also nearby. However, we would be reluctant to return as the facilities in the new part of the site were inadequate, a very small block with queue for the showers right outside the toilets (no privacy) and with only two toilets on the side generally used by women there were queues to use the loo most of the time. ( a definate holiday no no) The takeaway was dissappionting too. The weather was rubbish as well (can't blame site!!) which wasn't the impression I had been given of the Vendee but maybe we were unlucky just to get warm sunny days and two days of rain (I had to wear a fleece most evenings and some days) we will be returning to the South next year for some real hot holiday weather.

Got back last week and have to say I was very impressed.  We were on the older part of the site overloooking the childrens play area and only 2 mins walk from reception and only heard the bar area on a couple of nights.   Unlike the Cockerknees who were in the gazebo next to us who insisted on rabbiting until 12 most nights and the ocassional teenager hanging around in the play park after dark.

Plus points.   Huge pitch, nice pool, lovely lake, nice shower / toilet block area (Never had to queue for a shower cubicle)

Negative points  Other noisy brits !  

Will be going again next year
