Going back to the Eurocamp Independant question: We used them once, and saw no benefit whatsoever, and when we foolishly did the price comparison (after the event of course) we got a shock.
The main benefit we expected was with their on-site couriers. The first site had useless couriers, who weren't even expecting us, even though the site itself was. Nevertheless the couriers took us to the site office to book us in, I assumed in the relevant local language, then spoke that really anoying "shout and gesticulate" English. I'd have prefferred to do it myself. The kids club was run by the site itself not Eurocamp, so we'd have had access anyway.Then the second site, no couriers at all.
The second benefit we expected was ease of booking; my French being so-so, and my German no-no. But actually, as has already been said, many sites have either on-line systems, or English speaking staff.
So yes, use their brochures to get info, but if you can manage without their maps, you can manage with out them altogether.
