It has to be Le Chant D'Oiseau, run by Stu & Syb Bradley.  We have recently returned from a fortnight's stay and have booked already for 2 weeks next summer.  You could not meet nicer more helpful people - I cannot speak highly enogh of them or their camp site.

Le Chant is magical! we had such a great time and will definately return next year ( if theres any availability). Thanks to Stu and Syb for making us feel so welcome. It was just what we needed. Wish we'd stayed longer! If you want a totally relaxing experience this is the place. Hi Stu and Syb, Claire,

Have to agree with all the above people. We have only just returned from Le Chant D'oiseau, having spent three lovely lazy weeks there. The area is absolutely wonderful, with wildlife everywhere you care to look, red dear, wild boar (didn't actually get to see them), buzzards, owls, and chaffinches, robins, blue tits etc. which just wander round your pitch to see what they can find.

The kids absolutely loved the site, because they could basically wander at will, (gate is closed and the whole place feels so safe) so they made friends and often did not want to leave the site because they wanted to play with the other kids.

Stu and Syb, and their offsprings, are a delight as hosts, there is just nothing that is too much trouble for them.

Their dinner soiree's are starting to become legendary, (where else can you get a four course dinner, with wine, for ten euro's) and really get people talking and friendships forming

The area encompasses a beautiful part of France and there is just so much to do and see. Have a look at the post of things to do in the Loire to find out more.

I would go back tomorrow if I could, but as it is we might have to wait just a little while, but we will definitely go back if they will have us

Thank you for the experience

Awwwwww. Peter, it was a pleasure to meet you, Janice & the kids. It seems really empty here since we got back. We realised it's 'cos the Padremobile wasn't there! Hope your new vehicle is everything you wanted, we'll be in touch soon, we promise!

Claire, it was a pleasure to meet you, Jason & Eloise too. The golfnet's had some hammer this season, and tell Jason that I've been polishing my clubs for next time you're here!

Thanks to all of you who've visited us. We work very hard to make your stays as memorable as we can and it's thrilling to know that you all love the place as much as we do. You're all welcome back anytime you want, as it's YOU who make the place what it is! Take care.

We stayed at Le Chant in August and absolutely loved it! Stu,Syb and family are such lovely people and made us feel very welcome!

The site is everything I had imagined it would be...relaxing and peaceful in a very beautiful part of France.Thankyou Stu and Syb for making our stay so enjoyable,it was so great to finally meet you all and the way you all work together as a family to make it run smoothly is a credit to you!

Hi Peter (Padre) and Charlie (Charsam) it was so nice to meet you and your families....I couldn,t believe that I was actually meeting some UKCS members!

Cheers Mel and family

Cheers for the vote of confidence Mel. We kind of like it here too! It was great to finally get to meet you guys after how many years of chatting on here and MSN?

Funnily enough, we said goodbye yesterday to another couple from UKCS called....Mel & Dave! Spooky, eh?

I dunno about things running smoothly though....I think the presence of the Padre had alot to do with that! We caught him mopping the showers out more than once!

I feel truly fortunate to have booked a week with the Chant d'Oiseau next summer.

I know I shoudn't but..... Na na na na na....

Looking forward to seeing you next summer. Stu and Syb.  Do you think it possible to extend the number of touring pitches in the future?----- O r would that spoil the site?

Hi Judith,

we'd love to extend the site a bit. The problem we have is that we're bound by local planning regs which dictate that we can't erect any new buildings as we're sort of 'listed'. We have the 'Spare Acre' to our rear which is 100 yards away from the house, which should be ready for summer next year but as was pointed out on one of our reviews, we're stretching the facilities a little when we have too many on site. So, for now, we'd rather keep it relatively 'low-key', and just provide a quality campsite, gîtes and service. Hope that doesn't sound too clichéd!

See you next summer!
