We were there in June 2006 and two weeks just wasn't long enough so we're going back for another dose in June.

To all the suggestions already made may I just add that if you're a seafood lover and in particular shellfish etc. the area surpasses any other that I have been to for this delicacy. Also try the gallettes - a savoury version of the crepe. Not terribly filling but absolutely delicious!

Vic

Thanks all for the info on this thread - very interesting. I'm particulary glad to see that this is a child friendly site as we are travelling with my 2 wee boys who will be 4 and a half and 3.

We are booked up with Eurocamp for 12 nights from the 24th of June. We're travelling from Glasgow so sailing over on the Rosyth/Zeebrugge (the 'big boat' according to my older son ) on the 23rd of June arriving (traffic permitting) at the campsite about 8 in the evening on the 24th.

Looking forward to it already - maybe bump into you there Vic if you are still there in the last week in June

Sorry to say that we are leaving the site on the 24th to catch the ferry back on the 25th - a very near miss.

I must say I admire your ambition in taking on such a long journey with such young kiddies. Having gotten to Zeebrugge, it's one helluva drive to Trinite but hey, I don't want to pour cold water on your adventure. Once across the channel there are plenty of opportunities to pull up and rest.

Good luck!

Vic
