I could be wrong but I dont think its disabled people that get the discount but the vehicles that they are in. Such as motorhomes or minibuses adapted for a disabled persons needs.

Its a vehicle carrying a disabled badge holder as I understood it.

Certainly we just held up the blue badge and looked helpless with the caravan and we got it at some payages.Some operators even rang and asked guidance.

When I wrote the reply I got stated that it applied to motor home users only as I presume there is a case for the need due to the disability.

It didn't specify in any way that they had to be modified  

Well as we were given the reduced rate for disabled when towing a caravan its worth flashing the disabled card .

Interesting to see that it says nothing about foreign vehicles so it doesn't include or preclude in that case

Its worth a try.

We were told about it by someone who regularly got the reduction in a UK vehicle so its possible. 

It says green card of the vehicle 

Does that mean the now defunct green insurance document or a French disabled classification one wonders??

The only way to find out is to p[resent the blue badge and see whar happens

If you use a TomTom GPS device it asks you if want to use Toll roads, Yes or No

We used it like that last year and followed the routes slavishly. Yes, we saw a lot more of France but some of the roads that we went down were pretty hairy

That's interesting I thought that it couldn't be the old green card

Our car is registered disabled for road tax purposes and that is on the reg doc.

My point in posting this originally was to let people know that if they are lucky with the sun in the right position and a following wind and gallic shrugness is amiable then if they ask when driving a motor home then according to the reply I received to my letter they should get a reduction.

Also from our experience they MAY get it with a caravan when displaying(waving) the blue badge.

If you only get it 1/3 time as we did its better than san fairy ann.

If you ask you may get the reduction

If you don't ask then you will not get it

What I think happens is the toll booth attendants on a minimum wage and probably not totally fluent in English see the disabled badges and can't be bothered to take it further. What's it to them anyway? <gallic shrug>
