Transmanche ferries for me if you're looking to land a bit further south, although as mentioned they are in the process of being taken over so i don't know what happening at the mo.

We usually book direct with the operator but this year we used aferry cos it was the cheapest for the hull/zeebrugge crossing.

Ferry crossing £100 - you need £25 Tesco points.  We're travelling Hull - Zeebrugge return with caravan and cabin for not a lot (had to put a bit towards the cost as didn't have quite enough for full crossing)

We booked a whila back but used LD lines and when I booked they were the cheapest around.  As I had never heard of them I asked around on this site and they got quite a few good recommendations!

If I could answer for PenninePlodder.

Your £17.50 worth of Tesco vouchers equates to £70 of Tesco Tokens which is the value you can use towards the cost of a ferry.

At the moment you can only use the tokens on specific routes. I'm afraid Norfolk Lines isnt one of them(unless someone knows different)

At the moment only P&O and Eurotunnel accept the tokens for crossing on or under the channel. According to the Tesco website P&O will only accept tokens for the Portsmouth Bilbao route BUT THAT IS INCOORECT.

They will accept them for the Dover Calais route.

You have to convert your vouchers into tokens using the Tesco site and then ring up P&O and book you ferry, get the booking ref, write that on the tokens and send them off to P&O. Sounds complicated but it isnt.

Its the same with Eurotunnel.

Before you book you may find that even allowing for the fact that you are saving £70 it may not be cheaper (or not much) by using this method.

It may pay you to carry on saving the vouchers until you have sufficient to pay for the whole of your crossing (next year perhaps).

Oh and by the way. If you do want to ring up P&O use 01304 864003. Its cheaper than the 0870 quoted in the Tesco website.
