I surprised myself and used some pools in France, but the best part was the 12 days on the Med (mind you, I thought it would be warmer).

Is the seaside bit a dig at me? we went to loads of other inland places too, took 5 weeks and toured around, wanted some sun as well as sea, and OH won't use pools.

I love campsite pools - but there's nothing like swimming in the sea, jumping the waves, and walking knee deep along the beach and back hunting shells.  I think us Brits like the seaside because that was usually where we went as children and it was so.ooo....ooooo exciting.  We still hanker for that excitement and the seaside gives us that.

I hate beaches, but I love the sea!
