if i had the money to do a package to the perfect place for 2.5wks in August with what are now 4 adults most of the time according to travel agents (15&13yrs old) I probably would do, but as i can do the med coast of france or north spain and take the boys toys (xbox,fishing rod, blah blah blah!) for much less than half the price I think i will have no choice than to stick to that!

Also i can carry more wine in a caravan than in a suitcase, 70lts this year! lets hope it lasts longer than last year!

A few years ago we hired a beautiful secluded villa in Moraira, Costa Blanca. It had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, aircon and a private pool. It was heaven...for the first week. The second week, the boys were keen to run around, play with other children, go off on their bikes, go to the park etc, they became bored by the peace and tranquility. The nearest beach was very crowded, and it was also very hot which gave my eldest prickly heat, really irritating. So great fro me, but not so good for the children. We hired it through holidayrentals, they have some great properties.

I have to say that airports drive me a little crazy nowadays. Having been an air stewardess before I had my boys, I really get frustrated with all the queueing that goes on. Our journey this year to France was great, straight on the ferry, no hold ups either way to or from Royan. 9 euros in tolls on the way down and 6 on the way back. Plus we live 10mins from Portsmouth so have an easy journey to the ferry.

If I could, I'd do my trip to France every summer, and then fit in a luxury holiday around Christmas and New Year. I'd love to take my boys to the Far East, to a 5* all inclusive resort. But I need to win the lottery first!

Why not book some cheapish easyjet/bmi flights and fly to nice,hire a car and then come to Holiday Green in Frejus.and hire our mobile home !!! sorted.

No seriously its a great site,plenty to do especially in peak season for all ages,have a look www.holidaygreen.com

Thanks for having a look,sorry if you found it confusing that wasnt the intention,

Its £450 for 2 weeks on the special offer times which are from April 3rd -May 29th 2010   and 28th august -25th september. We do the offers early and late season

June is £550 per week

July & August £700 per week,we are half the price of the same mobile homes if you were booking with the campsite in their 'Holiday Residences'

Can anybody advise me on the best way to travel down to Spain towing a caravan? There seems to be so many options e.g Channel tunnel, Plymouth/Santander ferry....Next year we are in search of sunsine and thaught of taking our caravan down to the med. We've have finally given up on the British summer. Any site recommendations and advise would be greatly appreciated.
