Just been looking at my pitch on google earth and they have an awesome tool that can enable you to measure the pitch.  I'm on 59 which is 45ft x 39ft at its widest so very pleased with my allocation.  Try it guys or let me know your 2011 pitch number and I will do it for you. The wonders of technology hey!

Hi, I havent managed to sort that piece of technology yet..... We are on pitch 244. Could you size that up for me?

Thanks Jaki

Hi can someone let me have a plan of the pitches. I know we are on 243/4 (I think) but having seen Jusy's pitch from last year I am interested to know how they compare. I know I am sad but I so cant wait for this years holiday. We went to Cornwall last year and the weather wasnt great so we are looking forward to our 2 weeks in the sun, hopefully.

Thanks HC

Mr U-M may already have asked you this, but when are you going to be on 243/4?  Its just that we are going to be on 248 from 5th August to 14th.  I have pictures of 234 & 4 somewhere - will see if I can post them for you.

Hi

Below are some pics of LPP pitches.

This one is taken standing on Pitch 243, in 2009.  View has changed now though because the pitch where you can see our SMax had lodge tents on in last year and is now shown on the map as bushes!  The pitch to the right in the view is 248 (new numbers) and is the one we had in 2010 and have requested for 2011.

443

Next pic is of 243/244 in the last week of August 2009 - as you will see, the site does tend to empty out in the last week of August. 243/244 are across the road, towards the right of the picture.  You can''t make them out too well because the planting obscures them.

and finally, the last pic is our pitch 248 and has 243 in the foreground to the r/h side - e.g the tree would be on 243.399

Okay, so they may not be brilliant views, but give you some idea of the nature of the pitches - that they are usually hard dry grass in August and that they are not completely flat\level.  Lots of other people have mentioned ants at LPP, but I must say we have never had any ant issues in this area of the site.

Hi Mrs U-M (Sandra),

We will be there with another family from the 5th of August to the 18th.  We are taking the Portsmouth Le Havre crossing on the Thurs night and travelling down the coast route (Caen, Rennes, Nantes etc). I reckon first ones there get the beers on to chill??

Hi Jaki

You're on!  We're taking a longer, slower route from Bristol to Folkestone - across the Eurotunnel and then overnighting just outside Calais and then again at Le Mans - arriving at Le Pin on 5th.

If we get our allocation as requested, we will be your opposite neighbours for most of your stay, then we're off to Lac De Saint Cyr for a stay there before returning home.

A large glass of red for me please!

Sandra.
