We booked a few weeks ago to go on 18th aug first time abroad prices are as follows

hotel stopover as have 6 year old and drive a 1976 car only does 50mph we booked premier inn in the port  due to ferry time is 9.30 and further away from port would mean no time to have breky and arrive to port in our car we paid a whopping £88.00 for this breky included this is the most shocking price i have ever paid we use holiday inn at birthdays etc if going to theme park never paid over 40.00 night with breky.

ferry is with sea france hoping they are ok let me know if anyone used them please we paid £70.00 return going friday 9.30am and and returning bank holiday monday 4.30pm,and we have to pay for car with roof box so i think thats great.

camping in belgium fees are £210 for 10 night same as we pay in keswick so cant complain.

once we get off ferry after return drive we will then have a shortish drive to premier inn (again hoping as good as holiday inn lol) we paid £38.00 including breky.

so without deisel price is £406 probely same as hiring static in high season so im happy we did search for right prices before booking though could not find a cheaper alternative to hotel on way out we have a roof tent on landrover so secure parking is essential so no b&b had this.  Either way we can not wait 17 sleeps now.
