Oooh I'm glad I've read through these, you've made it clearer than I thought it was.
I'm just wondering for those who do this crossing to get to France, are there still toll roads like you get in France?
We're trying to work out the difference if any in price that we'd normally pay in tolls.
Thanks

No tolls between Zeebrugge and the French border (unless things have changed very recently!), but from the Netherlands ports you'd probably use either the Westerschelde Tunnel or the Liefkenshoek (Antwerp) Tunnel, both of which are tolled.

Thanks bob, do you happen to know where I can find out how much roughly they charge please?

Not necessarily, we always travelled via Breda and used the Kennedy Tunnel, which is on the R1, the ringroad to the east of Antwerpen and which is free and quite easy to get to from Rotterdam.
It depends where you want to go in France from Rotterdam. I did a route search on Google and that also used that route via Breda and the Kennedy Tunnel.
Just noticed the link doesn't give the actual route when you click on it now, so have deleted it.
Thanks guys!!
We're thinking of doing the hull zeebrugge crossing then into south of France because we hate the drive to dover / folkstone, so even though the crossing is a lot more money I'm weighing the full cost because we'll save 2 tanks of fuel & 2 overnight stops. I was hoping the tolls would be cheaper too then there's no comparison really. We've done both ferry & tunnel crossings before & thought the overnight ferry and a different scenery drive would be a nice change.
I've already convinced husband as he hates the drive to Dover /folklstone, it's just our friends that's looking at the £600 hull compared to £76 Dover !!! Lol
