The vet in France doesn't need to fill in the fit to travel section it isn't a requirement and you won't be refused entry if the fit to travel section isn't filled in .

Absolutely correct.
Sadly, there is so much misinformation about the Pet Passport and, unfortunately, many newcomers are totally confused.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Any ideas then as too why they put those pages in the passport then

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Like I said when asked the question in the first place my vet doesn't even know whats going on so so theres no chance for the rest of us, always best to find out from the people who do or have done it.
I appreciate all the replies I am quite happy now knowing that I'm not going to get caught out at the other end
New reg since we last went - dog needs to wear muzzle when passing through customs and going onto the boat (we're travelling with Brittany ferries to Santander)
Any one got any good vets 24 hours from the channel tunnel?
The muzzle reg is a Brittany ferry requirement only and it is only when moving around ship from car deck to pet friendly cabin or kennel. This has been in place for years! However, we have seen a few without and there was no problem!
Vet near Tunnel - Marquise, on main road, no appointment necessary and much cheaper/quicker than in Calais. Easier timescale now!

We use a good one just outside of Vallon in the Ardeche.
