He said the breathalyser law was still in force.
He said that, nevertheless, the penalty for NOT carrying them had been suspended.
As he's a brit living in France, I assume what he says is correct.
So I'm free to consider all the facts, and come to my own conclusion. What I won't do is call him out for summarising the position on this and many other matters helpful to those of us who might only visit France once a year.
Thanks Grahame. I appreciate the time you've spent on this.
I congratulated him on his excellent piece of work, and asked for the pdf, very early on.
What I was doing was pointing out that, at present, there is absolutely no need to carry the breathaliser kit, or spend any money on it.
Just to make people aware ...
What individuals choose to do, is, as ever, entirely up to them.
I won't buy one until it's announced that the regulation will be enforced ... and I hate the scaremongering ads on some of the ferries, who are trying to make an extra pound or thousand.
By the way ... whilst completely agreeing that he did a fantastic job on his info .... to assume that just because he's a brit living in France, he must be correct, made me chortle .... you should meet some of the brits I know who live in France!!
