Back to the French tags, is it worth it cost-wise if you're only going to be there for a couple of weeks? We find that the ticket and credit card work very well (and fast), so I'm wondering what the advantages are of having a tag?
Phsiaclly, they seem to be exactly the same - (I've got a DART tag and the one I got from ATMB recently is the same - handy as I can clip it in the same bracket on the windscreen.)
However, no there is no toll saving, in fact there are some costs involved as there seems to be normally a small monthly fee (for the month(s) it is used) and a depoist, it's just a convenience really.
I was umming an ahhing about the cost thing, paying at the is ok, but then my wife is often dozing whilst I'm driving and so I have to wake her. And at busy times there can be queuses at the tolls.
But the ATMB one is being offered without a deposit and no monthly fee at the moment, so have gone for that one.
Took about 10 days to get it
