Update as this is a FAQ ... we stayed here http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/campsites/uk/kent/nrdover/thefieldadjacenttobeancourt
I thinke we payed about £10 ... it was great for the kidas, as the owners have farm animals that they allow visitors to "pet" ...

A lot of once free and allowed seafront parking spaces have recently become 'no overnight camping' areas no matter what type of unit you have. This is partly due to complaints from local residents and businesses regarding the mess that some campers leave behind, and loss of trade for hotels and overnight accomodation in the area as people used their own mobile beds for the night. In some cases, the health and safety factor following the increase of coastal erosion in some areas, and the increasing risk of heavy seas played a part in the councils decision to ban sleeping in any vehicle parked overnight in a seafront location including Carparks in many coastal areas of the UK, not just the south coast.

For anyone who has previously enjoyed an overnight stay in such an area my advice would be to check that this is still allowed with the local council concerned, as many of theses changes have happened quite recently since the storms and heavy seas of last winter, 2013-2014.
