I think the only time I have really thought they were a good idea is when they are perched up in the Alpes with amazing views. Some of the motor home parks are a bit naf. We would never have one, don't fancy lugging that petrol gusler around all over the place, and in some cases they cannot go where a car can on these lovely roads. At laest with a caravan you can un hook it and explore at leisure. We have neither, just an outdoor vehicle with a choice of tents in the back. Agde sounds lovely anyway, and will not be as commercial as the resorts town further east, so we are going to give it a try while we are out there in August. I willnever forget the disappointment seeing so much traffic and so many people when we drove along the coast road from St Raphael, but hey waht did I expect it is world renowned. The best days here were when we went to La Turbie and explored the 'hinterland'. Lets hope we enjoy the Luberon and can tolerate the heat
