Well I shall look forward to filling up at Auchan Calais when we go over to do the shopping Saturday, will need 50+ litres
Only 50 litres, lucky you, our tank takes 120 litres.
And the van only does 7km/litre.
Our theory is if this is what you want to you have to pay so why worry.
------------- Planning our next jaunt
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Then you find that you can have your vehicle impounded if you bring an asylum seeker into the UK, even if you claim you didn't know they were there!
Urban myth. Provided you have taken reasonable precautions to secure your vehicle you won't get fined & certainly not if they are clinging to underside.

We like shopping at Auchan, so we are not traveling out of our way.
We also like to eat in the brassiere Bleriot, but it seems they are having problems. we thought the car park at Auchan was quite, and at 13.00 we were only 1 of 3 parties in the Brassiere.( all English)
It seems they are thinking the British are staying away because of the immigrant problem, but I do not think this is the case, It seems to me the French are staying away for some reason any idea's anybody?
The French economy is in pretty dire straits, apparently, when you talk to a working French person. They are somewhat despairing about the effects of recent political 'solutions' to the economic problems, which seem to be making things far worse. French people are keeping their money in their pockets (or going back to the old days, of under the mattress) and so are not spending money shopping (or eating) in Auchan.
