No problem oxter, there are plenty of cheap 1m Dish's available for around £30, but buying one is a bit of a lottery as some will only perform as well as a decent 80cm, as ever you pays your money.

Yes, so I believe. My trusty cheapo sky mesh has seen me through years of travel and was still ok well South last year. No plans for further south than last year this time so will keep using but watching gumtree.

Yep, the Sky Zone 2 Dish is a well designed antenna, and will give any 65cm regular Ofset Dish a run for it's money.

The Sky Zone 2 Dish pulls in 35db gain (10.7ghz) of signal, moving upto a 1m Dish will give 39.2db gain, that extra 4.2db gain, is what makes the difference between getting a picture and not, when down on the Cote d Azur.

I'm with Francais on this one the gibertini is the best by far though I am perhaps biased as I'm the one that sold it him though lol   A friend brought them back from Poland on a flight. They can be picked up for around 100 £ + here but if anyone wants one let me know ill see if he can bring some more they are around 65 70 pound when the euro converts but its getting them delivered here is the pain they dont weigh anything but would hate them to get damaged.

Hi Mark, I would imagine there is a good demand for them now, as it is now quite well established what size dish is required for Southern Europe. especially since the Astra2 Satellite changes settled down early last year.

As you know I added the Cast Alloy LNB Holder, which is a worthy upgrade.

Might ask him to bring some more in then as you know I had to buy 4 of them so they'd leave them in the box for the flight back (better not tell anyone where they actually traveled back in the aircraft. lol).   We were guinea pigs 2 years ago and last year with them but as you say all the speculation is over for most. Not sure what holders they have on them nowadays but will check.

Yep, it is the XP models that come with the Cast Alloy LNB Holder, the OP models come with the Plastic LNB Holder.

And that is the only difference between the two model types.

For what it cost's you would think that they would just produce the XP models, for what is a premium product.

The main benifit for portable use, is that with the Cast Alloy LNB Holder, you can attach and detach the LNB, whilst still leaving the LNB Holder in position.

With the Plastic LNB Holder the holder itself has to be removed as well, when detaching the LNB.

It's not a problem, having the Plastic LNB Holder, it is just that the Cast Alloy LNB Holder is better.
