What I don't understand is that if your has reached it's expirey date, then ATMB should automatically shut the Tag down so that it is no longer recognised at the Toll booth.
I think a solicitors letter, would have ATMB running for the hills, as surely it is incompetant of them to be trying to bill an out of date CC, when they have the electronic ability to disable the Tag, should an expired CC be on there system.
Of course it should be upto the Tag holder, to be aware of what card they have used for setting up the Tag, you usually get a replacement CC at least a month before the current one expires, so there is plenty of time to inform ATMB of the new CC details.

ATMB simply sent me. an e mail to say my credit card was out of date and would I please up date it. I did. The tag still works after a year's gap. It beeps and the barrier goes up. The bills are accurate. The direct debit at the bank pays them off. No drama, no crisis, not even a problem.
I have an ATMB tag. Ordered it online a few months ago when a no fee offer was on, just the 3 Euro postage and pay for the month you use it. It arrived within a few days. I did not print off the form at the time of application and then could not seem to get back to it to print off so I did not send anything back to them at all. No ID or signed forms etc. I guess once the tag arrives it is activated .
Just back from hols and all worked fine. Very impressed with the ease of use and will use again.
