I drove down Jubilee Way into Dover this morning (from the A2), along the seafront and then along the A20 to Folkestone and then the M20 to Ashford. The roads were all incredibly quiet in both directions. There was also not a single vehicle queueing at the passport control at Dover.
Hi Badger,

Looking to go down about 7.30 Friday morning, hoping that should beat any chaos this weekend....

My friends probably caught the same ferry as badger54. They set off from home eight hours early, allowing time for queueing, in order to get their booked crossing. When they arrived in the early morning they were surprised to find no queues, and were put on a ferry eight hours earlier than their booked one!

We travelled home yesterday morning heading for the tunnel for the 9.20am train. Got there a bit earlier to make sure we got through and caught the 8.20am train with no delays.

If only I was catching the ferry Val, I was working and drove through that way - - I have to wait a few more weeks yet until we are off again.
