Can't see the C&CC matching my £60 peak crossing fare with Seafrance.  

Everytime I have got a quote the ferry has been much dearer and their prices for inclusive booking have always been hundreds of pounds dearer than when I have booked everything independently. Don't even get me started on how long they take to answer the phone I have got through quicker emailing or telephoning sites direct.(I reckon the phone call to france is cheaper than phoning the C&CC not to mention loosing the will to live whilst holding on!!!)

Just booked high vehicle with bike rack (no caravan) through Ferry Savers.com for out on an Wed in July 07, back on a Fri in Aug. for 55 quid, with P&O. Dover -Calais

Two points 1. this was cheaper than booking direct with P&O.

                 2.regardless of who you book through P&O currently slap on a fuel surcharge of £6 each way.

So all in all though not too unhappy with £67, for crossings of my choosing.

Have been using Norfolk line now for some time, the best thing, if you go abroad regularly is to sign up to the norfolk line web site news, they will send offers etc. We got a bulk deal of 4 crossing, for a 7m motorhome, for £280 this allowed for usage at ANY time and ANY crossing. (the 4 crossings have to be taken in the one year, they also did didferent packages)

The newwer ships are very nice, but prefered the older ones as they had places to sit and relax (OK fall asleep for a nour or two)

One further nice point about Norfolk line, is that as it is a operated by a single company you will not get all the hassle with the strikes as with other venues, as it is a private port (I think I am correct in saying that but I could be wrong)

We used Norfolk Line twice this year, June fare was £58 return for a 6.5 mtr motor home, and £78 return in September. Just tried for next years hols, and was quoted £179 return for June. The service was very good and the boats were good as well, but £100 increase is a bit much.   

We have now booked with Camping Cheque on Norfolk Line, almost the same price, but we have 5 cheques as well.

Well which ever route you take, the best thing to do is not to stick with one company and assume they will be the cheapest, just because they where before, shop around, and also ask them to match prices if you do like a particular company, they sometimes do.

Our friends have just got a quote for their motorhome (3 metres, x 7 metres) with P and O, for outward 2nd June at 17.00 hours, and return 21 June at 17.00 hours, with outward crossing at £49.75 - and return at £31.75.  I thought this was quite reasonable, and almost comparable with the fares offered by Norfolkline last year.  (There's a supplement each way for 'fuel surcharge'). 

Don't Speedferries accept motorhomes now?  They are incredibly good value for a car and passengers - shame they don't take caravans either!!!

S/ferries don't really need or want motorcaravans. They do have a a width and hieght restriction as well
