Having not been back to the UK for quite some time, I've lost track of what things cost. Can anyone tell me the cost of a three course meal in a decent restaurant, with perhaps two pints of lager, or an average carafe of wine? 2 pints of lager would be £5 where we live. A 3 course meal on top of that (mid-range restaurant such as Bella Italia) would be around £24
What does it cost these days to get into say, Alton Towers or Legoland? And then what would it cost by way of food & drinks once inside? Don't know about Legoland but Alton Towers costs £35 for adults and £26 for children (gate prices). Prices inside are expensive, when my son was there in June I'm sure he told me a can of coke was £1.40
Does a fresh baguette cost 35p from Asda or similar? Cheapest baguette is 45p. A 'pain' is 70p.
Interested in doing a comparison. When I went to Portsmouth last December to do a bit of pre-christmas shopping, it was bloody toe-curlingly expensive to have a pizza and a beer....
