Were off next Thursday 23rd July and heading for Argeles. Hopefully 3 hot weeks. Return 15th August. Just praying that none of us catch the dreaded swine flu before then. Hope you all have a great holiday and a very very safe journey.

We leave on the 7th August heading to Serignan Plage (south of France) for 2 weeks of sun (we hope), to make up for the last 3 years of wet holidays in UK.

Counting the days 17

We won't be doing any overnight stops now with not taking the van down to the South but this is one site that I will miss.

Aujourd'hui!!!!!! Well, demain matin actuellement. Phew, exhausted mon francais all ready. Car almost packed...can two people need so much says OH. Estate packed rather full. I'm sure we can edit another time - this is first trip to France for me camping, for 20 years and OH never has. Wish us bon chance! Just the bikes to put on the back. Off to Charente-Maritime for 2 weeks. I do hope we have fun. Had three 'panics' already: misunderstanding on site booking, mislaying passports, then 'losing' the euros we had bought.Anything's a doddle after that!!!! Have a great summer.

Do campers 'peg it'?

We've enjoyed staying at La Filature several times for two or three nights. The area is very attractive & largely unspoilt;a big change from Les Sablons but a different experience in France in & enjoyable in a different way,

Fiona
