Sounds interesting - I like the way Intermarche do things. However, at the moment , the Restomarche network seems to have died ....

The Intermarche supermarket chain have some Restaumarche operations which we have quite enjoyed using. Amazing buffet starter, then a choice of reasonable mains and desserts.

Ah, the Restaumarche we used to use at Rang du Fliers is now a Poivron Rouge.

Am I confusing myself or are most of the Poivre Rouge restos in out of the way places?

We used Flunch when our children were small, and on the recommendation of people on here, we tried it again last year, but I was less than impressed!  I didn't think the quality was as good as most restaurant cafeteria meals, and the price for our meal (starter and main) was more than we pay for a three course meal with wine and coffee in our favourite little café in St Chinian or the Brasserie in the HyperU at Agde.

Trouble with Flunch is that basic meals are cheap but all the extras like sides & desserts are there to tempt you & you end up spending more than you would in a restaurant if you just ordered the plat du jour & a drink.
