Hi all, how is your trip going, can I ask what do you find to do with your days, we were thinking when we eventually retire we were wondering does holiday mood wear off after a couple of weeks

It's not a holiday it's a way of life, it doesn't wear off for us, it's great being in the warm weather with a slower pace of life, oh and a cheaper way of living. Saying that I am sat in a site near Tours and it is chucking it down, I am on my way back to UK though at the end of a long hot winter 😎😎

Grandad Kenny's absolutely right that it's a way of life, albeit a pleasant and relaxing one. Holidays usually involve lots of eating out and paying for trips and entertainment, and that would be far too expensive to keep up for several months.

As for what you find to do with your days - well, similar to what you do at home, but with better weather and scenery! You still have to change the beds, do the laundry, shop, cook and wash up. If you have a hobby at home you can continue, eg reading, knitting, sewing, walking, fishing, painting, bird watching, crosswords etc. Many sites have facilities for sports. Petanque is very popular. There are lots of interesting places to visit. Or you can just sit in the sun and chat to your neighbours!

Spot on Iwalani, although you never mentioned the socialable glass of wine or a beer with new friends, that's a must 😎. Still sat in Tours, visit to the vet this afternoon then up to Abbeville tomorrow. (Just collating my notes before I do all my site reviews) 👍
