Thanks,
Have never has the problem before so didnt think of that.
Our daughter had sprayed skin so soft around the door, on the metal bar, before I could stop her. I think it might have worked to some extent, as there seemed to be less of them.
Are they more of a problem inland than at the coast?

Le Pin was the only site we have problems with ants, after waking up and finding you have about 100 of the swines crawling over you or even got into your bed i take no chances.
Only been to the Loire Valley and Dordogne, no bother with ants there.
We always carry 2 pots of ant powder, hate to run out of it.
Did find the french ant powder wasnt that good
It was in the Loire that we had the trouble, neither of the two times we have been to the Vendee.
Will be interested to find out if we have them this summer, since we are more inland at Domaine Des Forges.
Will go prepared, where do you get the powder and what is it called?

I have to agree, at 8am we had to get up take bedding outside, hoover under the front lockers, curtains, seats. Empty wet locker, to see where they were coming in and cover with powder, just glad it wasnt raining. We were worried that they might have made it to the food cupboard.
Its best to be prepared and put it down before they find a way in.
fisherman50,
If I am one of the people you are thanking, afraid we are not going to LPP. We are staying in another site slightly further south, call Domaine Des Forges. Will try LPP sometime, but have a friend staying in this area and it would have been too far to drive on a daily basis.
