Interesting that one of the first posts in from Saumur. We got badly bitten there back in July. Didn't help that there was the usual lake and a stream of non-flowing water around a substantial part of the site where we were.

Mrs Rhj296 came out in very large swellings towards the end.
17 nights seemed a long time. Thankfully I went round and killed all the ones who were successful in getting into the tent during the time when it was open. A bit of a nightly ritual.
They bit through the back, underside of chairs as well as clothing.
Swines, I hate them.

Just returned from three weeks in France, including west and south Brittany, Saumur and Marais Poitavon. No problems with mozzies even around some quite stagnant looking ditches in the Venise Verte!

If all the bites on my legs join up they'll be one red mess.

It is a lot to do with the fact that my wooded commute runs alongside one of the biggest water treatment plants in Europe (Esholt).
(If Mike Gallagher reads this he will confirm this).

I have to 'scoot' with my mouth shut because everything that flies will have been near the poo, yuk!

Anyway I just hope we are lucky and that the breeze on the lake will both cool is and deter the flying things.
This time next week, we'll be heading for Arlon services for a coffee

To an early post re Prada hoodie...even worse. Its as tacky as a handbag.

Such a shame that some of the expensive brands have been cheapened...look what happened to Burberry in the 90's and early 2000's.

Armani, now you're talking, but I doubt Armani has hoodies in their summer collections.

(hey you've got to have a sense of humour)

I can't wait to see what creations we are going to see on the ferry next Thursday. Tight white trousers and gold shoes, I wonder !!!
