We have a crossing booked at 06.40. Anyone know if it is possible to arrive the night before and just park up somewhere and sleep overnight? (We have a motorhome.) We would rather spend the night in the UK rather than cross late at night and sleep in France.

If not, can anyone recommend a good place nearby to stay overnight?

Cheers

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Dont think your allowed to over night at the Tunnel terminals.

If your a member of the Caravan Club you could use 'Black Horse Farm' they have an area for early/late departure for Ferries/Tunnel

I rang the tunnel helpline and asked but was told that if you enter the complex they will want to board you

We did just that a few years ago when having a dummy run and once off the motorway you are at the check ins on the Uk side.

They had to let us out through a barrier

The Black Horse CC site at Folkestone is a good stopping place on this side and possibly Ardres on the French side but I would welcome hearing from anyone who knows better
