Sorry Bellringer just seen your reply.
Yes, the light fittings are fine & they're just normal standard light bulbs.
We live in an old <run down, doer upper> Georgian hill farm house & we brought back a big copper jam pan with heavy cast iron handled, matching copper ladle & slotted spoon all for just over €30. Looks lovely hanging on the wooden beam in the kitchen, next to some copper jugs from Ironbridge!
We also bring back crousti pommes & the kids like the ghostie crisps!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
As well as the sirop and wine we bring back every year, last year we found some beautiful hand painted door knobs for our new bedroom cupboards (had just had the loft converted). Now I have a lovely reminder of France very time I wake up.

I always look out for tins of confit de canard in the supermarkets, you can sometimes find cheaper ones. We bring wine, cheese, olives, sometimes soap from Provence.
Unusual biscuits, especially the waffle type ones. Olive oil salad dressing. And all the food left over that we have been eating, Yellow Label tea bags, OH's coffee of choice. And Espresso coffee sticks, they are not easy to find over here.
Just re reading this thread and I have never in my life met anyone who likes yellow label tea before. In years gone by I have gazed pityingly at poor Brits ive et in hotels who havent had the foresight to bring proper tea from home like I always do and they have to drink that dust swept from the floor of a PG factory that is sold in bags and labelled 'yellow label tea' . I'm so intrigued that I've had a mosey at your other posts. You seem so normal!

Love this thread. Love using our reusable shopping bags with pics on. Fruity flavour fizzy wine, particularly the peach one. Apericubes, bagel crisps, stationery, when I was at school there was a real fad to have the term time diaries that you couldn't get here., peach flavoured jam.
