Can I mention about Data Roaming on your phone. From May, Three are charging £2 per day for using your data allowance in Europe and, I think others, including Vodaphone are doing the same. Another B***** benefit :-(
This could be quite an extra cost if you both have phones and use them for Google Translate, as suggested, or any other of the myriad uses we use our smartphones for.
So, I have just switched to o2, which is continuing to provide free roaming, and bagged a deal through Money Supermarket for 30gb with unlimited texts and calls for £10 per month. Think there is reasonable use cap of 25gb when roaming.
Worth considering.

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Sorry just got home. We are catching the ferry and arrive in Calais about 08.30 the 30th May. Then I have to arrive on site on the 2nd of June so no pressure. We then have 17 days at the site Le Genets and is an escorted 17 days organised by CAMC. Every other day is a rest day the rest are organised trips.
We are so looking forward to it but apprehensive of the route down.
I have several months to organise however, I could do with help though.
Chris
Have a fantastic time !! We too did a CAMC escorted tour to Spain/portugal in sep 17 it was the best holiday I have ever had so organised and friendly you mix if you want to or not if you prefer it that way. The peace of mind too that should something go wrong your not alone. I can't recommend enough !! Enjoy

Not used cash for some months now - I do carry a euro in my pocket for supermarket trolleys in case I leave the car without picking up one of my jetons - but every shop, petrol pump, motorway toll booth etc I've used lately , even the local boulangerie, has contactless payments for transactions under 50 euro - PIN needed for larger amounts.
Cash very much restricted to "local" transactions eg paying for firewood from farmer, chimney swept and similar.
We use cash when visiting markets and food stalls etc.

While we are in France I believe the Queens Jubilee is on.
I was thinking of getting some bunting to celebrate it.
However I am concerned it may upset the locals.
When in Rome etc.
What do you guys think?
------------- if your car could travel at the speed of light and you turned on your lights what would happen?

This only applies if you took out, or upgraded, your monthly plan after October 2021.

I'm sure that wouldn't upset anyone, it's a lovely idea.
