Janet it does say in your policy you have to give 3 months notice. You f have to be very careful with these free car cover's as they do not always give cover or good cover for caravans. We have free AA with our bank but it does not cover our 8 mtr caravan in the UK.
I am aware of what is included as it is Volvo Assurance which we were with for several years until RAC said they did not cover cars over 10 years old. We have a trailer tent which has its own insurance.

I can now post a direct link - see the ADAC documents here and here.
Hi
Have downloaded the first 'here' link but nothing comes up when I click the second. Am I missing anything different?
Go away Monday and need to sort this so plan on phoning first thing tomorrow. Know we won't receive the cards before we go but by sound of things as long as I have the contact numbers and membership no. I will be OK?
We currently have RAC roadside, recovery, at home and onward travel and am hoping for something same plus the European cover for myself and OH. Is it the 'PLUS' cover I need?
Would you believe it ... Falt battery, at home ... what an idiot!
Rang ADAC in Munich, they had AA van here within an hour to homestart it.
Great service1
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Just Joined ADAC today (Excellent Customer Service), followed the good advice from previous posts - thank you. Easy transaction - 5 mins.
Process
Downloaded the English translated Terms & Conditions from link on this site to ensure it met my needs (yes & more!).
Called ADAC Eng Speaking line - 0049 221 472747. Requested to join the Plus partner membership and advised I had a copy of the English translated terms.
Advised ADAC rep of both full names and DOB details plus home UK address & email so I can receive the documentation. Gave over the prepaid euro card details - so no conversion required. Nb. As my mbl tel line was not great used the phonetic alphabet.
ADAC rep gave me a summary of the benefits and then emails me all the docs incl a paper copy of the membership card and a summary brochure of the benefits in English - Perfect!.
I confirm all the details are correct and cover starts at midnight. No need to carry the official lifetime card assuming you renew each year as the details are on their system. So the paper copy and contact numbers are in the vehicle file. Covers any car any age incl caravan (up to 10m L x 2.55m W x 3.20m H) plus the added person-related benefits included in the plus scheme definitely give you peace of mind while touring.
If in Europe the only ADAC Breakdown number advised is 0049 89 22 22 22 Hope this helps those still thinking of joining.
The best way of joining ADAC is to email Regensburg Office which is the allotted one for UK citizens.
When you join you will receive Handbook in German. This is only produced in German and is the only full cover document which I have translation of if needed email me at dvphillips14 at hotmail.com and I will email it to you. Can also give you Regensburg Office details.
