Thinking about hiring a motor home and touring northan Italy in late October, are campsites open all year the ones we tried seem to close end September. Can any one help! (I thought the camper van hire seemed cheap!!!!!)

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Here are some:  Villaggio dei Fiori - open until 23/12/2007,  Il Melo, open until 31/12/2007, Bacciccia, open until 30/10/2007, Orta, open until 31/12/2007,  Cmping Cevedale, open until 22/12/2007, Valmalene, open until 31/12/2007, Camping Toblachersee, open until 31/10/2007.

All these are taken, quickly, from the Camping Cheque brochure - see their website for more sites:  http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/.   If you're not familiar with Camping Cheques, each cheque pays for a night on site, including pitch fee, two adults, electricity, any awnings, and one dog, and costs £10.30 per night.   You can, of course, stay at any other sites you wish, and stay for as long, or as little, as you want, paying at the end of your stay.  If you don't buy enough cheques then you simply pay the normal standard site rate in cash for those nights when you don't have a cheque.
