Hi All,

 

Im going to Bilbao and driving up through France on route to Calais during July, I will be mainly staying in campsites on the way.

I will be with my best mate, we are both 24, whilst we are not hooligans and have no asbos to our name, we would like on occasions to have more of a lively night.

Does anyone have suggestions of any good campsites on the Perpignan>Toulouse>Bordeaux>La Rochelle>Nantes route that has good entertainment, ie a nice bar, live music etc?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Camping du petit port Nantes. Surrounded by the university in the middle of town . No thing much on site it is in the middle of everything

Hi Shaun

My advice to you would be to make your way into the villages where all the village fetes start taking place around the month of your travel. They are not like village fetes you have in the uk, they are more of the drink, dance and fall down type. Moving north from toulouse you come to a large town called Pau this is a nice place if you then go further north you travel through loads of beautiful towns, the cheapest place to stay is at the local campsites which are always located next to the swimmingpool.

There are lots of sites in and around towns, especially municipal campsites - best bet may also be along the coastal route - more happening and often bigger sites - but then again more likely to be family oriented

there is a site at Donostia / San Sebastian on a bus route - don't know how late they run tho
