Our local caravan shop is now selling a very similar lounger (all that's different is there is no Lafuma logo on the head cushion). It's the newest model, greyish woven seat material, with the mahogany replacement to the foam padding on the arms, removable head cushion, webbed strapping, etc. The mechanism to change position is just the same, the colours are the same, but the price is only around £50 instead of the £100 *(approx) which the real thing costs. Our contact there says 'they are made in France' (the copies, I mean) 'and to the same standard and pattern as Lafuma but we can buy them in at a third the price'!
Two years ago we bought something similar (a copy of the then current Lafuma model) from Practical Caravan, costing us only £37.00 each and these were again identical to those used by our neighbours on another pitch, which were Lafuma - we just didn't have the logo. It might just be worth you having a look locally. I'm trying to remember the company who actually supplied those we ordered - although they were ordered though Practical Caravan it was a firm who sold those 'look-alike' VW campers whose literature was enclosed with the delivery, and who were at that time selling them on their website for the same price.

Pager33,
I don't want to sound ignorant but what's so special about Lafuma chairs, I have just had a look at them and they don't seem to be any different from any other reasonably built chair/recliner ?.
Jamsie
They are just so comfortable, like sitting in a hammock, but your'e not in danger of falling out. Try one. They are certainly nothing like an ordinary camping chair.
