Hi,I am off to Le Ty Nadan in Brittany on the 16th June.If anyone has been can you tell me what there is to do in the immediate area( 20-30miles)?Also,what did you think of the campsite?I am staying in a static and am taking four kids 10,8,4,6months
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We went to Ty Nadan for two weeks last August with 7, 9 and 11 year old boys and had a great time. Your two older children will never be short of things to do - can highly recommend the quad biking, tree climbing and kayaking (just with the instructor so they loved it - no parents interferring!). Low key entertainment in the evening or you can just take a walk in the woods or have a drink in the bar. As you are going earlier in the season you will probably make good use of the indoor pool too. Our kids spent a lot of time in the river trying to catch the rather elusive fish.
In the immediate area there are some truly beautiful and (even in August) deserted beaches. Concarneau is worth a visit as is Quimper and Pont Aven.

Watch the kids on the trampoline - my daughter ended up in plaster even though she only sprained her ankle badly (warning - if you think its just a sprain don't go to a french hospital - they plaster under-8's "just in case")
At the following site in Fousenant we met two other kids in plaster who had come off the same trampoline at Ty Nadan - there is no supervision and in one case the little un (7) had been 'bounced off' by a teenager.
My kids loved the horseriding and canoeing (the only activities that a kiddie in plaster could do really) and before she was plastered they loved both the indoor and outdoor pools.
Pool - excellent. Indoor & outdoor pools & water slides.
Shop - excellent. Good range of fresh, frozen & tinned food, holiday stuff, toys even fishing tackle. Reasonable prices for a campsite shop.
Bar - good
Restaurant - good
Kids play facilities - good
Activities - varied and reasonably priced.
Nearby beaches - try Guidel Plage & Le Pouldu.
Supermarkets - Champion, Le Clerc & Super U all in Quimperlé about 20 mins away.
Nearby attractions.
Zoo at Pont Scorf - Good
Bee & ant Museum at L'Abeille Vivante near Le Faouët - good.
Holiday curtailed by son falling off a pony. First aid facilities on site were poor, but hospital care in Quimperlé & Lorient is excellent.
