I'm thinking of getting one of these www.SoulPad.co.uk

Quite an investment. Can anyone think of the main +'s for camping under canvas rather than nylon?

Hi squeek and welcome to UKCS. The main advantage is longevity. If you look after a canvas tent it could last you a life time rather than 4 or 5 years for nylon tents. The other advantage when camping abroad in hot weather. A nylon tent can be unbearably hot and stuffy while a canvas tent is cooler and breathable.
